Jayalalithaa Case Verdict: Tamil Nadu CM guilty. Why astrology failed to save her in Bangalore

Bangalore, Sept 27: Surprising everyone, a special court in Bangalore pronounced Jayalalithaa guilty in the 18-year-old infamous disproportionate asset case. The verdict clearly showed that astrology failed to save the Tamil Nadu CM this time.

Earlier it was reported that AIADMK officials claimed that astrology and good timing of verdict would save their supremo. But now it seems that their calculations have gone hay ware when their leader arrived in Bangalore on Saturday, Sept 27.

Earlier on Friday, AIADMK sources informed that according to her astrology, 9 am to 10:30 am on Saturday was not suitable for Jayalalithaa. But 1:30 pm to 3 pm was a suitable time for her. Despite the judgement being pronounced after 1 pm, it did not go in the favour of Jayalalithaa. Announcement of sentence is expected to come around 3 pm.

Jayalalithaa is known as a strong believer of astrology and numerology. She once had rewarded an astrologer who had predicted that she would become Tamil Nadu CM.

The astrologer, who was from Kerala, received Rs 10 lakh reward from Jayalalithaa. His prediction had come at a time when she could not contest as she was debarred due to criminal cases pending against her. However, the AIADMK won the assembly election and she was made the chief minister as a non-elected member of the assembly.

Jayalalithaa along with her aide Sasikala have been found guilty as they are convicted in accumulating Rs 66 crore wealth disproportionate to known sources of her income from 1991-96 in her first term as Chief Minister.
