AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa's bail hearing adjourned to Oct 6

Jayalalithaa will remain in jail this week and the court will hear her bail plea on Monday.
Jayalalithaa was sentenced to 4 years in jail on Saturday, Sept 27 in a verdict in the disproportionate assets case. Protests had erupted across Tamil Nadu as Jayalalithaa's supporters went on a rampage.
Meanwhile, she had moved the High Court seeking bail and stay on the conviction orders. While the AIADMK chief was asked to pay Rs 100 crore, the three others were fined Rs 10 crore each.
The AIADMK chief is lodged in VVIP cell number 23 in the Central Prison at Parappana Agrahara.
