Jayalalitha's sops for babies: Amma Baby Care kits

, Aug 12: Mothers of newly born babies need not worry in Jaya's kingdom. Amma is ready with a kit for the kiddos. And she has a name for it too-Amma Baby Care Kit.

The chief minister of Tamil Nadu-Jayalalitha's fetish for Amma branded sops has reached new heights when she launched the kit for babies, which have 16 items including sanitizers, baby soaps, towel, clipper, dolls and more. The kit costing Rs 1,000 will be provided to all government hospitals.

Interestingly, this sop will cost the state government Rs 67 crore and will benefit 6.7 lakh kids.

Jayalalitha's party AIADMK won with a clear majority for the third term in Tamil Nadu this year. She won in 37 of the state's 39 Lok Sabha seats in national elections in May 2014.
