Jawan, 2 Hizbul militants killed in Pulwama encounter
Srinagar, Oct 26: An army JCO was on Monday killed in an encounter in south Kashmir's Pulwama district with two Hizbul Mujahideen militants also being gunned down in the operation, police said.
A gunbattle broke out between militants and security forces at Drabgam in Pulwama after the latter had launched a cordon-and-search operation in the area following information about the presence of the ultras there, a police official said.

The JCO sustained injuries in the early exchange of fire between the two sides and later succumbed.
The two militants killed in the encounter that lasted for nearly two hours have been identified as Abdul Manan and Afaq Bhat.
