Javed Ahmed Mattoo, Wanted Hizbul Terrorist, Arrested In Delhi
The Special Cell of the Delhi Police on Thursday arrested a wanted Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist from the national capital. Javed Ahmed Mattoo is a key operative of the terror group and carried a bounty of Rs 10 lakh on his head.
Officials reported that Mattoo, a resident of Sopore in South Kashmir, had been sought by the NIA for his participation in various terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir. He frequently traveled to Pakistan for training with the terror group and was found in possession of hand grenades, pistols, magazines, and a stolen car.

HGS Dhaliwal, Special Commissioner of the Special Cell, declared a significant achievement as they captured Javed Mattoo, an A++ category terrorist with a bounty of Rs 10 lakh on his head.
"In a major breakthrough, the Special Cell of Delhi Police, in coordination with central agencies, has arrested Javed Mattoo, who is an A++ terrorist, a resident of Sopore and carried a reward of Rs 10 lakh on his head," HGS Dhaliwal, Special Commissioner, Special Cell said.
Mattoo has a history of killing civilians and police officials in Jammu and Kashmir. He was involved in the killing of five policemen in different incidents and five grenade attacks in the region. Dozens of police officials were injured in the attacks carried out by him, police said.
Mattoo was the kingpin of a terror module comprising seven operatives and as per latest information, he is the last surviving terrorist of A++ category hailing from Jammu and Kashmir, Dhaliwal said.
