Jammu, April 5: Landslides triggered by incessant rains on Wednesday forced the Jammu-Srinagar highway to close for safety reasons, an official said.

"Continuous rain in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district triggered landslides and shooting stones at some places on the highway," the traffic department official said.
The local Met department had issued an adverse weather advisory on Monday forecasting three days of rain in the plains and snow in higher reaches.
