Jammu and Kashmir Security Forces Urged to Formulate Strategy Against Terrorism and Networks
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has urged the security forces to devise a thorough plan to eradicate terrorists and their support networks in Jammu and Kashmir. This move aligns with the government's aim to create a peaceful environment in the region. During a meeting of the Unified Headquarters (UHQ), Sinha emphasised the need for a security audit of all critical projects in the area to identify and address any vulnerabilities.

The meeting was attended by key figures, including Lt General M L Suchindra, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, and DGP Nalin Prabhat. Discussions focused on recent attacks on non-local workers, notably at the Gagangir tunnel site, which resulted in seven deaths and five injuries. The Lieutenant Governor instructed security forces to actively pursue those responsible for the Gagangir attack to ensure swift justice.
Security Measures and Development Projects
Sinha stressed the importance of proactive measures by all security agencies to dismantle networks of overground workers who assist terrorists in executing such heinous acts. He reiterated the government's commitment to making Jammu and Kashmir free from terrorism, allowing residents to live normal lives. The LG highlighted that ongoing projects are crucial for the region's development and prosperity.
These initiatives must be safeguarded against threats from hostile elements, Sinha stated during the meeting. Ensuring their protection is vital for the progress and well-being of Jammu and Kashmir's people. The officials were reminded of the significance of these projects in fostering growth within the union territory.
In conclusion, Sinha's directives aim to enhance security measures while supporting developmental efforts in Jammu and Kashmir. By addressing both immediate threats and long-term goals, the government seeks to create a stable and prosperous environment for its citizens.
