J&K polls: General Observer interacts with political leaders
Rajouri, Dec 6: General Observer convened a meeting with representative of various political parties of Rajouri District to discuss issues relating to proper monitoring of expenditure incurred by the contesting candidates of Assembly Election, MCC adherence and randomization of EVM.
The General Observer appealed the representatives of political parties for the smooth conduct of the forthcoming elections and asked the participants to come forward to share their grievances any time to ensure fair and free conduct of election.

The returning officer asked the representatives of various political parties to properly maintain the shadow register of contesting candidates by registering their day to day account. He also asked them to witness Randomization of EVMs at DC Office on Friday, Dec 5.
The representatives of various political parties appreciated the efforts of the DEO for providing uniformity for each and every candidate for ensuring transparent and fair election in the District.
Meanwhile, Nodal officer Media management, Ashima Iqbal briefed political parties regarding working of MCMC, criteria of suspected paid news and pre certification of advertisement on electronic media.
Among others, Ajaz Ahmed (PDP) Asif Khan (IPP), Mohd Sayed (NC), Layaqat Ali (Independent), Ch. Darbar Ahmed (BJP), Iftikhar Ali (INC), Mohd Akram Malik (NC), Gh. Mustafa Wani, (Panther Party) Mohd Farooq ( Independent) who are present in the meeting.
