Jairam Ramesh urges the public to donate their eyes

I have filled up the form committing to donate my eyes to the eye bank,"Ramesh said after participating in the 'Run for Vision' programme organised by KMEB.
Ramesh said he desired that his last rites be performed in Saranda and his eyes be donated to the KMEB. The founders of KMEB, Dr Bharati Kashap and Dr B P Kashyap appreciated Ramesh's gesture in pledging to donate his eyes.
The programme also involved the conclusion of a mega eye camp in Latehar district of the state, conducted by KMEH since July 30 on the initiative of the union rural development minister. Around 2,000 people from 114 villages underwent checkup at the eye camp, which was part of the Saryu Action Plan to fight Maoist guerrillas in the area.
