SpiceJet Staff Booked For Slapping CISF Jawan At Jaipur Airport, Airline Alleges 'Sexual Harassment'

A shocking incident occurred at Jaipur Airport on Thursday when a SpiceJet employee, identified as Anuradha Rani, slapped a CISF jawan. The altercation, which was captured on camera, quickly went viral on social media.

In the video, Anuradha Rani, who worked as a food supervisor for SpiceJet, is seen arguing with the CISF jawan before slapping him. The incident, which took place around 4 amat Jaipur Airport when Anuradha Rani attempted to enter through the "vehicle gate" with other staff members. ASI Giriraj Prasad stopped her for lacking proper permission to use that gate and directed her to go through security screening at the gate designated for airline crew. However, no female CISF personnel were available at that time, so the ASI called for a female colleague.

During this period, the situation escalated, and Anuradha Rani slapped Giriraj Prasad, an incident that was caught on camera. Following the incident, she was arrested by airport authorities.

Jaipur Airport SHO Ral Lal stated that the Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) requested a female colleague for a security check, but the situation escalated, leading the SpiceJet employee to slap him.

A case has been registered against the food supervisor under sections 121 (1) (voluntarily causing hurt to deter a public servant from duty) and 132 (assaulting a public servant) of the Bharat Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The SHO confirmed that, based on the ASI's complaint, Anuradha Rani has been arrested, and the matter is currently under investigation.

However, SpiceJet later issued a statement defending its employee, accusing the CISF personnel of misbehavior and sexual harassment. The airline stated that Anuradha Rani was escorting a catering vehicle and possessed a valid airport entry pass issued by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), authorising her to use the gate.

According to SpiceJet, she was subjected to inappropriate and unacceptable language by the CISF personnel, including a request to meet him at his home after his duty hours.
