New Delhi, Feb 27: The controversial and tainted Congress leader Jagdish Tytler is all set to contest primary polls for Lok Sabha elections 2014 from northeast Delhi constituency.

During 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Tytler had to give up his ministerial post in the Union government and was even denied the ticket.

In a recent interview to BBC, Tytler had said, "Congress Party gives me everything that I am today."

In November last year, Tytler, who is also accused of forgery, had moved a Delhi court for seeking permission to go abroad

After getting a clean chit in 2007 and 2009, last year in April, a Delhi court had ordered fresh investigation into 1984 riots case against him.

Tytler was accused of instigating a rioting mob, which murdered three men - Badal Singh, Thakur Singh and Gurcharan Singh - who had taken shelter at a north Delhi gurudwara on Nov 1, 1984.

Earlier another court in 2007 had asked agencies to re-investigate Tytler's alleged role.

In 2012, Tytler had courted controversy for inciting violence in Odisha.
