The vice president, accompanied by his wife, arrived at the Ambala airbase on Sunday. While in Ambala, he met with various Khap leaders in the presence of Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij, who also serves as the MLA for Ambala Cantt. One memorable moment occurred when Jhajjaram Chahal introduced himself as the vice president of the Chahal Khap of Haryana. Dhankhar playfully interrupted him, saying, "Stop, one vice president is meeting another vice president," leaving everyone present in splits of laughter.

Another amusing exchange took place when Dhankhar met Bhaleram Narwal, who introduced himself as the head of the Narwal Khap. Dhankhar asked him, "What is your height?" To which Bhaleram replied, "Six feet two inches." Dhankhar then revealed that his own height is also six feet.

Balbir Singh Chahal, a Khap leader from Jind district, mentioned that he hailed from the village of Baroda. Dhankhar, pointing towards his wife Sudesh Dhankhar, remarked, "Her 'gotra' is Baroda."

Dalveer Narwar, a Khap leader from the Narwar Khap, shared that he was from Gohana. The vice president responded by praising Gohana's famous jalebi, saying that he had personally tasted it.
