2 terrorists killed, two Air Force commandos martyred in J&K hajin encounter

Two terrorists have been killed in an encounter at Hajin in Jammu and Kashmir. Two security personnel have been martyred in the attack.

The two personnel of the IAF's Garuda Force who lost their lives were with the Army for operational training.

An encounter broke out between the security forces and terrorists at the Hajin area of Bandipore in Jammu and Kashmir in the early hours of Wednesday. Defense spokesman Col Rajesh Kalia confirmed the killing of two militants and said the operation is still in progress.

The Jammu and Kashmir police say that the police and security forces are on the job. Preliminary reports suggest that the terrorists are from the Lashkar-e-Tayiba.

The encounter comes a day after the Army gunned down a top Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist Khalid.
