J&K: Terrorists fire at police vehicle, driver dead, cop injured

The terrorists fired at the police vehicle at Nandmarg in Kashmir's Kulgam.

One police personnel was injured and the driver of his vehicle was killed when terrorists fired on them at Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam region on Saturday evening.

Earlier in the day, two terrorists were killed in an encounter at Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. The terrorists were identified as Wasim Shah and Hafiz Nisar. The terrorists are suspected to be part of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba.

The encounter broke out this morning at the Litter village in Pulwama. Intelligence Bureau reports suggested the presence of terrorists in the area following which the security forces launched an encounter. Meanwhile, the Army has recovered one AK-47, an AK-56 and 6 AK magazines.
