J&K: Guards thwart terrorists' attempt to loot bank van
Terrorists on Thursday fired at a bank van carrying cash and tried to loot it in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district. The guards of the bank are said to have retaliated and foiled the attempt by the terrorists to loot the cash.
On May 28, two terrorists looted Rs 1.7 lakh in cash from a bank and took away a 12-bore rifle from its guard in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. The armed terrorists barged into the Jammu and Kashmir Bank branch at Srigufwara in Anantnag district this afternoon and looted Rs 1.72 lakh at gunpoint.
On May 18, the terrorists looted a bank in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam area. The incident took place in a branch of Jammu and Kashmir Bank in Qaimoh area, said reports.
Last year, there were several banks looted by the terrorists in Kashmir. On October 12, 2017, Terrorists looted Rs 5,39,000 cash from J&K Bank branch in Marhama Sangam in Anantnag district.
