J&K: Grenade hurled at PDP MLA's residence in Shopian

Militants attacked the residence of a ruling PDP MLA in Shopian town of Kashmir by lobbing a grenade at it, police said on Thursday.

According to police, the grenade was hurled at the house of Aijaz Mir in Zainapora area of the district. However, there was no damage done due to the explosion that took place.

"It was a mysterious blast. The MLA and his family were not present in the house at the time of the blast," a senior police official said. The grenade landed in the compound of the house and exploded without causing any damage, he added.
