J&K: Cordon and search for terrorists launched in Pulwama

Earlier, terrorists tried to snatch a rifle of a bank guard at Charari Shareif in Budgam.

A massive cordon and search operation has been launched in Pulwama's Pinglena village by the security forces. The operation was launched in the Kashmir Valley following specific inputs about the presence of terrorists.

The Intelligence Bureau tipped the security forces about the presence of more than 2 terrorists in the area. The entire area has been cordoned off as a precautionary measure.

Earlier, terrorists tried to snatch a rifle of a bank guard at Charari Shareif in Budgam. The guard however resisted the terrorist and foiled the attempt.

Another incident was reported at Pulwama in the wee hours of Monday. One terrorist was killed in the encounter while two others managed to flee, the police said.
