J&K: 10 dead, 6 injured as vehicle falls into gorge

Ten persons were killed and ten others injured in a road accident in Mahore tehsil of Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.

Reports said that a tempo, bearing registration number JK02 AG-0730, rolled down into a gorge near Shishi Nallah, resulting into on spot death of seven persons.

As per initial reports, the seven bodies have been recovered but one child has reportedly been washed away in nullah which had been in spate following incessant rains in the area for the past few days.

Though the cause of accident is yet to be known, sources said that the driver appears to have lost control over the steering while turning near Jamsalan.
