J&K: 5 injured after explosion in Tosa Maidan of Budgam district

Srinagar, Aug 12: Five people were injured after an explosion has occurred in Tosa Maidan of Budgam district in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.

All the injured have been admitted to hospital. Investigation has begun.

Speaking to ANI, Senior Superintendent of Police, Budgam district said,''A mysterious blast occurred in Budgam's Tosa Maidan. The 3 injured were taken to Sub Dist Hospital, Khag & 2 of them were later referred to JVC hospital, Srinagar. One of the injured is critical. Police has taken cognisance.''

The injured people hailing from Arizal area of the district were injured at the Tosa Maidan meadow this afternoon when an explosive device went off, reports said.

However, the nature of explosive device was not known.
