Embarrassment for Kejriwal? IT Dept recovers Rs 130 crore unaccounted wealth from AAP MLA

New Delhi, Aug 9: This will once again bring embarrassment to Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Aadmi Party, which is under the eye of storm for various reasons. Reportedly, the income tax department has recovered Rs 130 crore of unaccounted wealth from AAP MLA Kartar Singh Tanwar.

Last month, IT officials had raided Tanwar's residence and grilled him on the issue.

Another embarrassment for Kejriwal?

Media reports say that Tanwar and his associates had recently bought some farm houses in Chattarpur and Ghitorni area without paying stamp duty to the government. IT sources say that all the transactions were done in cash.

Tanwar, an MLA from Chhatarpur, was a BJP leader before he joined AAP in 2014.

This incident will once again add fuel to the already bitter political war between AAP and the Modi government.

About a dozen AAP legislators have either been arrested or are facing charges in various cases since the party took charge in Delhi in February 2014.
