Israel Aerospace Industries Sets Up New Subsidiary in New Delhi to Boost Defence Ties
New Delhi, March 27 - Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), a leading aerospace and defence company, has recently inaugurated its Indian subsidiary, AeroSpace Services India (ASI), in New Delhi. This strategic move aligns with the Indian government's initiatives, Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India, aiming to bolster self-reliance and indigenous manufacturing.

The establishment of ASI underscores the deepening partnership between IAI and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) of India. Together, they are committed to developing and supporting sophisticated systems for the Indian armed forces. ASI is designated as the sole authorised Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) Technical Representative for the Medium Range Surface-to-Air Missile (MRSAM) system.
At the heart of this collaboration is a shared vision between India and Israel to leverage IAI's technological prowess and India's rich talent pool in the defence sector. Boaz Levy, President and CEO of IAI, expressed his enthusiasm about this venture, stating that it marks a significant milestone towards achieving India's goal of self-reliance. He highlighted the historic growth and development that this partnership promises for both nations.
ASI boasts a robust workforce of around 50 employees, with an impressive 97 per cent being Indian nationals. With its headquarters in Delhi, ASI has strategically positioned branches across the Indian subcontinent. This extensive network is a testament to ASI's commitment to providing nationwide coverage and ensuring customer satisfaction.
The inauguration of ASI not only signifies a major step forward in India-Israel relations but also showcases the commitment of both nations to work together in advancing defence technologies. This collaboration is set to contribute significantly to India's defence sector, combining Israeli innovation with Indian expertise.
