ISIS bound 9 member team deported to Bengaluru from Turkey
Bengaluru, Jan 31: Nine people have been deported from Turkey to Bengaluru after it was found that they were trying to join the dreaded outfit, ISIS. Turkish authorities had detained a total of 9 individuals at the Turkey border while they were trying to cross over to Syria.
While 7 members of this which includes five children and a woman hail from Chennai, the other persons are from Telangana and Hassan respectively. All of them were sent back to India after it was found that they were attempting to cross over to Syria in a bid to join the ISIS.

Muhammed Abdul Ahad (46 yrs) and his family comprising his wife and 5 children are natives of Chennai, Javeed Baba (24yrs) is a native of Khammam district, Telangana, and Ibrahim Nowfal (24 yrs) a native of Hassan.
The group had arrived in Istanbul on tourist visas on Dec 24, 2014 from Bengaluru and were sent back to India on Jan 30, 2015, by the Turkish authorities.
Ahad has a Masters in Computer Science from Kennedy-Western University, California, USA, and has worked in US for more than 10 years. Javeed & Nowfal are also engineers by qualification.
On their arrival at BIAL, they were questioned by Bengaluru City Police along with central agencies regarding the circumstances of their visit to Turkey. Enquiry is going on into their background and motive behind travelling to Syria via Turkey, Bengaluru, Police Commissioner, M N Reddi informed.
