ISI tells D-Company to perform or perish
New Delhi, May 18: Perform of perish is the message that the ISI has sent to the D-Company. The ISI feels that it has been protecting and harbouring Dawood and his men for too long and they needed to strike hard at India.
This is one of the many revelations that was made to the NIA which investigated the Bharuch double murder case.
The NIA had taken over the probe into the case which involved the murder of two prominent Hindu leaders in Bharuch, Gujarat at the hands of Dawood's henchmen. It had been found that they had committed this murder and also planned many more in a bid to cause communal disturbances.
Under pressure:
The NIA says that the D company is under immense pressure from the ISI to carry out strikes and cause disturbances in India.
Dawood and his men have been under the protection of ISI for over two decades. While the Dawood gang does hand over 40 per cent of its income earned through drugs to the ISI, it is said that the Pakistan spy agency demands more.
The ISI feels that the D company which has a long reach in India is capable of causing disturbances in India.
Moreover, the ISI would want to use its proxies such as the Lashkar-e-Tayiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad over and over again to strike in India as it builds pressure on them. Moreover, the ISI does not approve back to back major attacks by its proxies in India.
In such a scenario the ISI tends to lean heavily on the home grown outfits. However with the strength of the Indian Mujahideen and SIMI dwindling, it has looked up to the D Gang to create trouble in India.
The entire plot to kill Hindu leaders and create communal disturbances in India was plotted by a key Dawood man, Javed Chikna.
The NIA learnt that this was done under immense pressure from the ISI which has been seeking a return of the favour for harbouring the gang members.
