Is Twitter (X) Down? Netizens Complain

Social media platform X aka Twitter experienced outages on Tuesday, as per Downdetector.com, a website that tracks service disruptions.

At the peak of the outage, Downdetector, which gathers status reports from various sources including users, recorded over 36,500 reports in the US.

According to an outage detection website, in India, nearly 71% of app users and 27% of desktop users reported being affected by the outage.

News agency Reuters reported that Downdetector.com recorded over 3,300 issue reports in Canada and 1,600 in the UK as of 11:20 PM ET. The cause of the outage remains unknown, and X has not yet released an official statement regarding the global disruption.

While the exact reason for the outage is still unclear, many users reported receiving a message that read, "Something went wrong. Try again" when attempting to access the platform.

One user said, "Is #Twitter #X down or something?"

Taking potshot at X CEO Elon Musk, another user commented: "#Twitter down ... thanks #ElonMusk guess #TrumpVance2024 will blame #KamalaHarris for this also."
