Is Twitter Down In India? Netizens Complain

Netizens in India are complaining that X, formerly known as Twitter, is down.

Downdetector, a website that monitors service disruptions, has reported approximately 2511 complaints from users experiencing difficulties with the social media platform since 11 am.

This heat map on Downdetector shows users submitting problems from across India including Delhi, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Patna, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore and Madurai.

As per the website, 62 per cent of users raised complaints on the Twitter app while 31 per cent on the website.

The problem
People are not able to see tweets and any other activity. However, users are able to post tweets from their accounts.

"Twitter is down? This website is breaking down," one user said. "So, uh, Twitter seems to be down on both mobile and desktop," the second user said.

Adding humour to the situation, the third user said, "Seems like the Market & Twitter, both of them are down," The fifth netizen added, "Twitter down? Christmas is coming early this year."

However, the Elon Musk-owned company has not given a formal response on the issue.
