Is there a Bengaluru bandh on February 4? Farmers organisations and activists from North Karnataka had called for a bandh on February 4 coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Bengaluru.
However some farmers have said that it would be an insult to the PM to call for a bandh on that day and also seek time with him.
All all party delegation wants to meet with the PM in connection with the Mahadayi dispute. Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah had assured to lead an all party delegation to meet the PM.
It would be an insult to call a bandh in the PM's name. Till the time PM Modi confirms or rejects giving a concrete time for us to meet him, a bandh call is not in good faith," said Shankar Ambali, secretary for the Raitha Sena.
A final decision on the matter would be taken after seeing the developments that day, Ambali also said.
