IS operative arrested in Rajasthan

The National Investigation Agency arrested one Amzad Khan alias Ayan in connection with an Islamic State related case. He was deported from Saudi Arabia on. He has been remanded in custody and is being questioned further.

The anti-terrorist squad of Rajasthan had arrested an IS operative last year after it was found that he was involved in collecting funds for the outfit. Several IS operatives from Rajasthan have been on the radar for the past year as the outfit has been planning on setting up shop in that state.

Ayan hails from Churu in Rajasthan. He is 37 years of age and was under the radar for allegedly collecting funds for the outfit. He was operating out of Saudi Arabia and was in touch with other operatives, sources said.
