Has missing JNU student Najeeb left the country?
Several reports have emerged in which it was suggested that the Delhi police had found that he had searched for topics such as 'how to join the IS', and videos of the outfit.
Has the missing Jawaharlal Nehru University student, Najeeb Ahmed been radicalised? This is one of the aspects that the Delhi police is looking into. There are many aspects that the Delhi police has been looking into where this case is concerned. The possibility of him leaving the country and entering Nepal after possible radicalisation is one such aspect. Special Commissioner of the Delhi Police Dependra Pathak informed that so far no IS link has come up.

In November, an inquiry conducted by JNU suggested that Najeeb had been assaulted by an ABVP member following which he went missing. In January the Delhi police had arrested a person who had made a call to Najeeb's house demanding Rs 20 lakh. Najeeb has been missing since October 2016.
Delhi police sources say that the matter is under investigation.
