Is Congress MLA Anand Singh joining the BJP? Singh who joined the Congress ahead of the Karnataka election is not reachable and efforts on to trace him have gone in vain.

There is speculation rife that he may be in Bengaluru and could join the BJP. Singh had contested on a Congress ticket and won the Vijaynagar seat.

In the meantime, the two Independent candidates have been sending out mixed signals. With the support of the two Independents, the Congress's-JD(S) tally goes up to 118.

During the arguments in the Supreme Court, Abhishek Manu Singvi said that the Congress combine has the support of 116 MLAs, thus giving an indication that the two Independents have not given the party letters of support as yet.
