New Delhi, July 21: Back in 2014 before the General Elections, then chief minister of Gujarat and prime ministerial aspirant Narendra Modi gave hope to millions of Indians with his slogan "acche din" (good days).

Four years later, most promises made by Prime Minister Modi, including two crore jobs to deposit of Rs 15 lakh in the bank accounts of all Indians, remained unfulfilled. As the Opposition and critics question PM Modi about "acche din", a Bollywood song highlights the search for "good days" by a common man.

The song--Mere acche din kab aayenge? (When will my good days come?)--from the upcoming Hindi film, Fanney Khan, about a small-time singer and his desire to make his talented daughter a star performer, mostly talks about everyone's search for "good days".

The beautiful song sung by music director Amit Trivedi and written by lyricist Irshad Kamil has nothing political about it. Nonetheless it finds a resonance with all the listeners at a time when the country is witnessing an unprecedented chaos and uncertainty.
