Developed by Maker Labs, this robot, powered by generative AI, aims to revolutionize the educational environment and redefine the possibilities within the field of learning.

A caption shared alongside the video on Instagram reads, "Breaking boundaries in education: Introducing IRIS, India's first AI teacher robot based on generative AI." The company further adds, "With IRIS, education is revolutionized by harnessing the power of AI to create a truly personalized learning experience. By adapting to each student's needs and preferences, engaging and effective lessons are delivered like never before."

In the clip, the unveiling of the robot on stage at Kerala's KTCT Higher Secondary School is shown. It also depicts the robot interacting with children inside a classroom. Iris was inaugurated by Dr. K Rajeev, Director of the Space Physics Laboratory (SPL) of VSSC. A text insert on the video informs that the AI teacher has become the 'closest pals' of students of KTCT Higher Secondary School in Kerala.

According to a DNA report, it is stated that the robot has the capability to move, interact, and answer students' questions. The robot has garnered such impressive reception from students that there are zero absentees in the classes conducted by the AI teacher. Subjects from nursery to Class 12 can be taught by the robot.

Currently, three languages - English, Hindi, and Malayalam - are spoken by the robot, with plans by the developers to expand this to over 20 languages. Additionally, Iris also possesses the ability to block inappropriate content such as drugs and violence.
