IRCTC Down: Website Crashes During Tatkal Booking Hours, Users Frustrated

IRCTC's website has been down since this morning. What's surprising is that the outage occurred during the critical Tatkal ticket booking period.

A message on the IRCTC website states that maintenance work is currently underway, and no bookings will be available for the next hour.

Downdetector, a platform that monitors online service disruptions, confirmed the outage, noting a significant spike in reported problems during the Tatkal booking window.

Typically, maintenance work is carried out after 11 PM, raising questions about whether this could be a cyberattack.

Both the IRCTC app and mobile website are facing issues. Users are unable to open the app, and the website displays a maintenance message when accessed.
