IPS officer found dead under mysterious circumstances in Lucknow
IPS officer Rajesh Sahni, 1992 batch, was found dead under mysterious circumstances at the ATS office in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow on Tuesday.
According to News 18 reports, the officer shot himself in the office itself. Meanwhile, the police department is in shock after the death of Rajesh Sahni. All the senior officers of the police reached the spot at Anan Fanan.
Anand Kumar, ADG, Law and Order, said, "Rajesh Sahni Addl SP ATS committed suicide by shooting himself on the temple at 1245 hrs in his office with an official weapon. The reason for suicide is being ascertained."
Recently, Rajesh Sahni-led team of ATS officers arrested the suspected agent of Pakistani intelligence agency Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI) from Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand. Suspected Agent Ramesh Singh had bugged an Indian diplomat's house in Pakistan and provided Information to Pakistan's spy agency ISI while working as a domestic help till last year.
