IPS officer found dead in Chennai

Chennai, Feb 18: A 32-year-old IPS officer was today found dead in the police officer's mess here.

The body of Assistant Superintendent of Police N Harish, attached to the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, was found in a room of the officer's mess premises at Egmore around noon, police said.

Harish was an officer of 2009 batch and had recently been transferred from Madurai to Chennai. The cause of death was being ascertained and investigations were on, police said.
