IPL Opening Ceremony: Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan meets Mamata Banerjee
Kolkata, Apr 7: Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan today called on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and had an hour-long discussion with her on film and entertainment.
Hrithik, who is in the city along with his team to perform at the opening ceremony of IPL-8, went to the state secretariat to meet the CM, whom he admired as a "special personality".

"I love Didi's smiling face. I love Bengal very much because of its famed hospitality and affection," Hrithik told reporters standing beside the CM after the meeting.
With the CM's invitation to him for the Kolkata International Film Festival this year and a cultural programme organised by the Kolkata Police, Hrithik said he would try his best to attend those programmes.
In reply to CM's request for making this city as the venue of his films in future, Hrithik also assured her to keep this request in mind.
The CM later tweeted, "I was happy to meet Hrithik. We had a nice round of discussion. My best wishes to him and his team. Today Hrithik called on me at Nabanna on a courtesy visit. He has come to Kolkata for IPL inaugural function."
