INX Media Case: Chidambaram gets protection from arrest till July 3
Former Union Minister P Chidambaram on Thursday got interim protection from arrest by CBI till July 3 in the INX Media Case.

A day before Patiala House Court directed former Finance Minister P Chidambaram to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on 5th June in connection with Aircel Maxis case. The court also ruled that no coercive action can be taken against Chidambaram till then.
Hours after securing protection from arrest in Aircel-Maxis case Chidambaram had moved the Delhi High Court seeking anticipatory bail in the CBI's INX media corruption case.
According to advocate P K Dubey who filed the plea on behalf of Chidambaram, the matter was mentioned in-chamber before a bench of Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice C Hari Shankar.
