International flight operations begin at Chennai airport
Chennai, Dec 7: International flight operations from the airport here resumed today five days after incessant rains and floods forced shutdown of operations International flight operations have commenced at Chennai Airport from 6 AM on Monday, Dec 7, an official release said.
An Air India Express flight arrived at 1000 hours this morning. The night flight operations will also continue, the release said.

According to AAI, five flights including one international flight arrived and departed from Chennai airport till 1130 hours today.
The domestic airlines who operated services to and from Chennai airport during this period were Air India, TruJet and Jet Airways, it said.
Chennai Airport was declared fit for full scale operations including international and night services yesterday by the aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation after it conducted inspection of the runway.
