Instagram Down for Several Users, Unable to Access Feed; Netizens Vent On Twitter
Meta-owned photo-sharing platform, Instagram is down for several users around the world, including in India. The outage began on Thursday morning, and users are reporting that they are unable to access their feeds, send or receive messages, or view stories. As of now, the company has not revealed any details related to the outage.
The cause of the outage is not yet known, but it is possible that it is related to the recent outage of WhatsApp, which is also owned by Meta. WhatsApp's outage was later restored, but it is possible that the issue has affected Instagram as well.

According to DownDetector, several users have reported periodic abnormal behavior on Instagram. The platform's server is facing persistent outages, which have affected users' ability to log in, refresh their pages, and view content.
One user reported that they were able to log in to their account, but when they tried to refresh the page, they received an error message that said "An error occurred."
Several users took to micro-blogging platform Twitter to express their dissatisfaction at the sudden outage.
However, this isn't the first time. Instagram, experienced technical glitches on both June 9 and May 22, causing significant disruptions to its services worldwide.
On June 9, users encountered error messages on the app, including prompts like 'sorry, couldn't refresh feed' and 'something went wrong.' The outage affected a large number of users globally, leading to frustrations and inconveniences.
Similarly, on May 22, Instagram faced another round of issues, with users reporting difficulties logging into their accounts and accessing their feeds. Some users also encountered problems while posting stories. However, the company did not disclose the precise number of users impacted by this particular disruption.
