Infosys: CFO of BPO unit fired for code of conduct violation
Mumbai, Nov 21: In an early morning statement, IT services giant Infosys Ltd said it has fired the finance chief of its BPO unit for violating the company's code of conduc. In a stock market filing late on Tuesday, Bangalore-based Infosys did not provide details about the charges against unit CFO Abraham Mathews.

It also said that the unit's chief executive, Gautam Thakkar, had resigned on "moral grounds" and would serve office till Nov 30. Meanwhile, Infosys named Deepak Bhalla and Anup Uppadhayay, both company veterans, as the unit's chief financial officer and the chief executive respectively. The BPO unit of the company contributes 6.5-7 percent of the overall revenue of Infosys.
