Industrialist Gautam Adani Attends Jagannath Rath Yatra With His Family In Puri
As the sacred chariots of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra rolled through the streets of Puri, the Adani Group reaffirmed its commitment to seva (selfless service) by launching an expansive support initiative for millions of devotees attending the iconic Rath Yatra.
Industrialist Gautam Adani, accompanied by his wife Priti Adani and son Karan Adani, participated in the age-old traditions of the Rath Yatra with utmost devotion. The Adani family not only took part in the ceremonial rituals but also actively helped in the preparation of prasad - the sacred food offering that will be distributed among devotees during the nine-day spiritual journey.

The Adani Group's support to the annual festival was visible across the temple town, with the Adani Foundation coordinating a large-scale 'Prasad Seva' programme aimed at enhancing the comfort, safety, and experience of pilgrims. This initiative reflects the Group's long-standing ethos of combining service with spiritual values.
"By the infinite grace of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath Ji, we have been blessed with the opportunity to serve during the sacred Rath Yatra of Puri Dham. This divine journey, commencing today, is that sacred moment when the Lord himself comes among his devotees to bless them with his darshan. It is not just a journey, but it is a sublime celebration of devotion, service, and surrender," wrote Gautam Adani on X, expressing the family's gratitude.
He added, "On this auspicious occasion, the Adani family is fully dedicated with utmost sincerity and reverence to serve millions of devotees. With the resolve that every devotee receives clean, nutritious, and lovingly served food, we have initiated the 'Prasad Seva' in Puri Dham."
This year's seva effort is both comprehensive and collaborative. Nearly 4 million meals and beverages are being distributed free of cost. Special food counters have been set up to serve wholesome meals, while beverage stations placed strategically across Puri offer cool drinks to help pilgrims stay hydrated in the heat. The Adani Group is also supporting safety infrastructure by providing fluorescent vests, rain gear, and other supplies to municipal workers, lifeguards, and volunteers.
In addition, the Group has extended support to the Puri Beach Lifeguard Mahasangha and organized clean-up drives to reduce plastic waste - a significant concern during large gatherings.
"I pray that the grace of Lord Shri Jagannath Ji remains upon us all forever. Serving humanity is serving the Divine, and service itself is spiritual practice," Adani said in his post.
The Prasad Seva initiative is being conducted in partnership with the Puri district administration, ISKCON, and local volunteer organisations. This effort builds on the Adani Foundation's ongoing work in Odisha, which spans healthcare, education, and rural livelihoods, and also echoes similar initiatives undertaken earlier this year during the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj.
Through this act of service, the Adani Group continues to honour India's spiritual heritage while making meaningful contributions to its people - truly embodying the belief that devotion and development can go hand in hand.
