Sheena is alive and in the US, Indrani Mukerjea tells cops

Mumbai, Sept 1: Adding a fresh twist to the Sheena Bora murder case, main accused Indrani Mukerjea has claimed that her daughter, Sheena is in the US and is not coming forward because she hates her.

According to a report in NDTV, police sources have said that Indrani claimed that Sheena was in the US. Police officials also said that Indrani has been tough to crack during the interrogation.

Meanwhile, Indrani's first husband, Siddharth Das, whom the police believes has a crucial role in the case was traced in Kolkata. Speaking to reporters Das said that Indrani and he were never married and that they were in a live-in relationship.

Indrani along with other two accused, Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyam Rai were produced in court on Monday, Aug 31. They were then sent to police custody till Sept 5. Indrani had even fainted in the court during the proceedings.
