Indore: Tribal woman gangraped by 3; accused attempt to kill her

Indore, Oct 15: A tribal married woman (19) was allegedly gangraped by three persons who later tried to kill her by hitting with stones near Choral dam on October 11, police said here today.

The victim was found in an unconscious state by villagers near Choral dam on October 12, which is about 40 km away from the district headquarters, Badgonda police station in-chagre P S Kannoje told reporters.

After villagers informed the police, she was admitted to the Government M Y Hospital.

The victim gained consciousness yesterday, after which she told police that she belongs to Shar district's Bhentlia village.

The police has registered a case against the three accused under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. All the three accused are absconding and the police has launched a manhunt to nab them.
