Buy a house, get wife free!

Jakarta, March 11: Readers were in for a shock when an advertisement for a property sale in Indonesia read that the buyer of the house is entitled to get a wife free. While this viral advertisement has jerked the world out of their skin, many see this as a rare offer, not to mention that there was a potential buyer too.

The story took an interesting turn on questioning the owner of the house-a lady of 40.

Wina Lia claimed that she did not put this advertisement and it was one of her real estate agent friends whom she had approached for help. Even the police were after her, claiming that the advertisement was inappropriate for a conservative Muslim society.

She further said that she had requested her friend to find someone who wanted to buy a house, and was also looking for a wife. However, she had requested him that the proposal should be sent to select customers and not post it online.

She explained,"I told a friend of mine who also works as property agent that if there is a buyer who is a single man or a widower who wants to buy a house, and at the same time look for a wife, he can let me know as I'm also a widow."

The internet ad reads like a regular one in most parts, discussing the price, the rooms and the features. But when the rare offer was made, a picture was posted with Lia leaning against a car in the front of the house.
