IndiGo Aircraft Mishaps Raise Safety Concerns

A recent incident involving an IndiGo aircraft bound for Delhi from Amritsar has sparked safety concerns at the Indira Gandhi International Airport. The A320 aircraft reportedly missed the taxiway upon landing, resulting in a temporary blockage of the runway for approximately 15 minutes.

According to sources, the aircraft ended up at the dead end of runway 28/10, causing disruptions to flight operations. Thankfully, normal operations were restored after an IndiGo towing van was deployed to move the aircraft to a parking bay.

Despite the severity of the incident, IndiGo has yet to provide official comments on the matter, leaving passengers and aviation authorities questioning the airline's accountability.

This mishap adds to a series of recent events involving IndiGo that have raised eyebrows within the aviation industry. On January 31st, chaos ensued at the Delhi airport as passengers protested against the sudden cancellation of an IndiGo flight to Deoghar, Jharkhand.

In another troubling incident, cricketer Mayank Agarwal filed a police complaint after consuming a 'poisonous liquid' on a Delhi-bound IndiGo flight, leading to his hospitalization in Agartala. Additionally, the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) imposed a hefty fine of Rs 1.2 crore on IndiGo for a separate incident where passengers were left waiting on the tarmac for their delayed flight.

Furthermore, a video capturing a frustrated passenger physically assaulting the pilot of an IndiGo flight during a delay announcement has further highlighted concerns about the airline's operational integrity and passenger safety.

These incidents have prompted calls for a thorough examination by aviation authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of passengers travelling with IndiGo.
