Party leader Mallikarjun Kharge praised their teamwork, stating it set a new standard and ensured a bright future for Indian cricket. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's remarkable performance led India to a sixth title, defeating England by 100 runs in Harare.

England's innings concluded at 311 runs in 40.2 overs, unable to chase the daunting target of 412. The Indian bowling attack proved too strong. Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi congratulated the team on X, highlighting their composure and determination as defining traits of India's Gen Z.

Celebrations and Congratulatory Messages

Rahul Gandhi expressed pride in the team's achievement, calling it a proud statement for Indian cricket's future. "Well played, champions," he said. Congress president Kharge also shared his excitement on X, noting the thrill of seeing young talent excel globally.

Kharge added, "Many congratulations to the Indian U-19 men's cricket team on securing an unprecedented 6th World Cup title." He emphasized their teamwork and discipline as setting a new gold standard for cricket.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Congress general secretary, also celebrated the team's historic win. She congratulated the young players and fans, expressing national pride in their talent. "Jai Hind," she stated in Hindi on X.

K C Venugopal, another Congress general secretary, lauded the young cricketers for their outstanding performance. He remarked on the promising future of Indian cricket with such talent on display. "You have made 1.4 billion Indians proud!" he declared on X.
