Indian student Neelam Shinde, 35, has been in a coma since being hit by a four-wheeler in California on February 14. A native of Maharashtra's Satara district, she is currently in the ICU, while the driver responsible has been detained by the police. As legal proceedings continue, her family struggles to obtain a visa to be by her side.
Her father, Tanaji Shinde, expressed their distress, stating they have been trying to secure a visa since February 16 but have yet to receive it. The prolonged wait has worsened their grief as they remain thousands of miles away, unable to provide support.
