The Indian Railways with an aim to improve international tourism decided to operate trains between the two nations.

Likewise, India is on the verge to boost connectivity with Nepal and Bangladesh, Jaishankar added.

According to the media reports, the survey to start the construction of the railway link between India and Bhutan had been completed in April 2023. The railway line will connect Bhutan's Gelephu and Kokrajar in India's Assam.
