Indian Railways Launches 7 New Trains In Bihar From Oct 1, Amrit Bharat Express Included

Indian Railways is set to roll out seven new train services in Bihar from Monday, including three Amrit Bharat Express trains, aimed at enhancing passenger convenience and strengthening the state's connectivity with key destinations across India. All services will be operated and maintained by the East Central Railway (ECR) zone.

Of the seven new services, four will operate entirely within Bihar, linking important towns and cities, while the three Amrit Bharat Express trains will connect Bihar with major states such as Telangana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi. The move is expected to significantly boost travel facilities in the poll-bound state.

Details of the New Trains

• Danapur-Jhajha Fast Passenger (Train No. 53204/53203): Equipped with 22 LHB coaches, this train will operate six days a week (excluding Sundays) from October 1. It will halt at 22 stations, including Patna, Bakhtiyarpur, Barh, Mokama, and Jamui.
• Patna-Buxar Fast Passenger (Train No. 53201/53202): Featuring 20 ICF coaches, the service will also run six days a week, except Sundays. Major stops include Danapur, Ara, and Raghunathpur.
• Patna-Nawada DEMU Passenger (Train No. 75272/75271): Running six days a week, excluding Sundays, this service will halt at 21 stations such as Sheikhpura, Barbigha, and Bihar Sharif.
• Patna-Islampur DEMU Passenger (Train No. 75274/75273): Operating six days a week except Sundays, with 19 stops including Punpun, Hilsa, and Khorampur.

Amrit Bharat Express Services

• Muzaffarpur-Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express (Train No. 15293/15294): This weekly service, with 22 coaches, will depart Muzaffarpur on Tuesdays and return from Charlapalli on Thursdays. It will halt at 24 stations, including Hajipur, Buxar, Satna, and Peddapalli.
• Darbhanga-Madar Amrit Bharat Express: The train will stop at 31 stations en route, including Kamtaul, Kanpur Central, and Tundla.
• Chhapra-Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Express: Running with halts at 19 stations, including Siwan, Gorakhpur, Barabanki, and Kanpur Central.

With the addition of these services, Indian Railways aims to not only improve intra-state travel in Bihar but also expand its long-distance rail connectivity, making journeys more convenient for passengers.
