Indian IT engineer abducted by anti-government forces in Libya

Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 6: An Indian IT engineer has been abducted by anti-government forces in war torn Libya, media reported.

The engineer, identified as 43-year-old Regi Joseph, a resident of Koorachundu in Kozhikode district was abducted by rebels.

He was abducted by rebel forces from his office at Souk al Jumaa near capital Tripoli on March 31, reported the Times of India..

Apart from Joseph, three of his Libyan colleagues have also been abducted by the rebels.
Joseph is associate with Al Diwasn Company as an infrastructure engineer. Three colleagues of Joseph, all Libyan citizens, were also abducted along with him.

Joseph has been living in Libya with his family for the last two years. His wife works as a nurse in the Tripoli-based TMC Hospital.

Kozhikode MP MK Raghavan has assured all possible help to family and given assurance to take the issue with CM Oommen Chandy and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.
