Indian diaspora vital for India-US ties: Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the people of India and USA, especially the Indian Diaspora, for close ties between the two countries.

In a letter to Dr Krishna Reddy, Founder Chairman of Indian American Friendship Council (IAFC), Modi said,"the partnership between India and the USA is based on our mutual interest and shared commitment towards democracy and universal values. The flourishing of ties between the two nations has been made possible by people in both nations and the Indian Diaspora in particular."
Appreciating the role played by IAFC, Modi said, "The IAFC has been playing the commendable role in bridging relations between the two nations by promoting the dialogue and interactions among the various stakeholders at multiple levels."
The IAFC is holding its 20th Annual Legislative Conference in Washington on October 31 which is being attended by more than 100 Senators and Congressman, besides important Indian Americans who are well settled in USA.
